Track 1

Valdres March (Hannssen)

This recording featured on BBC Radio 2’s Listen to the Band in 1999.  It was recorded in St Andrews and conducted by Frank Renton.

Track 2

Nimrod (Elgar)

From Elgar’s Enigma Variations, Nimrod is a wonderfully evocative piece of music.

Track 3

Ruby Tuesday (Jagger, Richards)

A fantastic arrangement of one of the Rolling Stones’ greatest hits.

Track 4

Breezin’ Down Broadway!
(arr. Richards)

Goff (not Keith!) Richards arranged this exhilarating trip through some great show-stopping Broadway tunes.

Tracks 2,3 & 4 come from live performances in Germany all conducted by Richard Evans.

Track 5

The Gael (Jones arr. Duncan)

From the movie ‘The Last of the Mohicans’ and arranged by former NYBBS player Andy Duncan, this proved to be a real crowd pleaser at the Royal Concert Hall in 2004.  Again, Richard Evans is the man with the stick.
